• $0.03 per word for copy editing;

• $0.04 per word for combined line and copy editing; and

• $0.05 per word for structural/developmental editing.

If you had a 10,000-word article, for example, those rates would work out to a starting fee of $300.00 for copy editing, $400.00 for combined line and copy editing, and $500 for structural editing.
